This week was slightly slower than my previous two, but just as fun.
I spent the majority of my week editing individually. This week, Mr. Collins had a business partner in town and had to attend many meetings, so he gave me some segments to edit on my own. Mr. Collins attended the Sedona Film Festival last weekend and recorded several interviews with a couple of the actors and directors, including Richard Dreyfus. It was really fun to have freedom editing the videos by myself. Taking creative control was moderately nerve-racking, but also really exciting!
I have to turn them in on Monday, so I hope Mr. Collins enjoys what I have done with them!

Exciting! I'm sure your editing is beauteous.
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you :)
DeleteHey Cameron,
ReplyDeleteI see that you are doing a lot of editing which is good since it seems that you love it. What is it about editing that you love? Just curious since it isn't something that I think I fully appreciate.
I just like to see how everything fits together, like a puzzle! I find it so interesting that you can take two segments of film that happened at completely different times and piece them together to look seamless.
DeleteDid Mr. Richard Dreyfus have any valuable messages about the industry?
ReplyDeleteHe said that if you want to be a film actor, start out with Theatre. It is much more fun than film!
DeleteIt's cool that you are getting so much independence! Good luck with the editing!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, meetings. I know exactly how that feels.
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun though! Do you think you'll be able to edit anything other than interviews soon?
Well, the company mostly does interviews, so that is what I will be editing for the most part, BUT we are going to film a Kickstarter today, so hopefully I will get a chance to work on that as well.
Deleterichard dreyfus! cool
ReplyDeleteSo do your edits get used? or is it just a learning experience type thing?
