Act II, Scene 1

Welcome Back(or just welcome, if this is your first time visiting!)

I started out this week editing a video for MBN, the Media Broadcast Network,  the broadcast network Mr. Collins is helping to develop. This particular video was for the financial channel, so Healy Baumgardner-Narrdone interviewed the founder of Monetary Metals, Keith Weiner. Unfortunately, I had computer problems at the beginning of this week, so it was a little short. BUT, I managed to get those all sorted out and was back in the studio by Wednesday. I got the chance to meet Karl Rove as he came in for a live broadcast on Wednesday afternoon. The rest of the week consisted of minor editing fixes of previous videos I had made, along with a few live shots on Friday with Mr. Dake, the pilot from my first day on site! He had two broadcasts right after each other, one for CNN and the other for ABC. He was answering questions about the recent plane crashes, including Harrison Ford's.

Next Monday, I am going to learn how to work the tricaster. I am very excited!

Have a lovely week,
Cameron

    1. I actually made a mistake, I learned how to used a tricaster. (I sneakily edited the post. shh) It is a machine that makes virtual sets on a green screen!

  2. This is so cool! I imagine you've become quite good/quick at editing? Are there any rules you have to follow when doing so?

    1. I have certainly gotten much faster! I mostly just place entitle and work with color correction, so no specific rules. Just make it look glorious!

  3. Glad things are still going well! What kind of computer problems were you having?

    1. Well, I think I may have destroyed my battery or something, because randomly my computer will just go black and not respond to anything. It isn't turning off, because I tried to turn it back on and that didn't work. AND it happens at the most random times, so of course when I went to get it fixed, it was working fine. Then again, I know very little about computer stuff, so it may not even be my battery. (sorry for my mini-rant)
